The Sun Hotel - Skegness

The room was clean and tidy, a plus. The beds were comfy. Limited meal options during breakfast left something to be desired, but the home-cooked meals were decent overall.

Hotel was high-class, we enjoyed this place.

Good breakfast with plenty of EXCELLENT foods. Great and fab location, minutes away from Natureland Seal Sanctuary. Set in a perfect area very close to Right on sea front and seafront.

Manager's responsive assistance transformed negative experiences quickly.

My first night had no hot water, frustrating. The shower issues were not clearly communicated, and I had to ask for help. It was disappointing to experience challenges with basic amenities, which should be straightforward for any hotel.

View from the window to the sea, even more beautiful at night, 5 minutes walk to the beach, on the main street where there are many attractions, quiet and peaceful at night, friendly and helpful staff.

Very small parking lot, for 6-7 cars, and rooms about 24. PayPal payment is a problem, I paid for one room 3 times! I'm waiting for my money back from PayPal. Better to pay by card.

I had a right laugh stayin' here! The beds were comfy as, and brekkie was like mum’s best, proper English full fry-up! Just a bit noisy at night from other guests, innit?

The hotel is very well located, right in front of the sea and in the city centre.

from 2pm, reception is closed, there is nobody left until the next morning. There's a phone number to call if you need anything. We arrived at the hotel at 3pm and door was closed. So we called this number and waited 10 minutes for someone from the hotel to come and check us in. There was a storm outside. We didn't like it at all!

There were some serious cleanliness issues. The bathrooms left a lot to be desired with dirty toilets and unkempt showers. The dining area felt cramped. Plus, the meal options for dinner were quite limiting, with one night's choice being a frozen chicken Kiev.

Lovely breakfast included with good variety and the staff were so cute and friendly. The location is fantastic right by the seafront and close to attractions like the aquarium and Skegness Pier.

A bit of noise from other guests could be heard at times.

It wasn't the cheapest, but definitely worth it.

Just a commendable fit for a couple of nights in Skegness with very good value for money. The staff were friendly, made my stay more enjoyable. Request a room away from the music if you want a quieter night.

Free Wi-Fi and parking were great. Dirty cups and a broken shower head were disappointing.

Friendly staff and fantastic food

I recently spent 5 days at the hotel and it was a pleasant experience. The room was clean and basic, just what I needed for my stay. The staff really stood out, especially a lovely server named Jenny who was always cheerful and helpful. The food was honestly amazing. Every meal was delicious and hot when served.
